Pickled Onions
Ingredients
- 1 large red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup vinegar (white, apple cider, red or white wine, rice, etc.)
- Spices and seasonings (bay leaf, oregano or thyme sprigs, orange zest, mustard seeds, etc.)
- 1 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup water
Directions
- Combine all ingredients and let set for at least an hour.
